Born in Montreal of Italian parents but moving to Italy shortly thereafter, Elisabetta spent the first 8 years of her life in the land of Michelangelo and Da Vinci. Her passion for acting emerges at the age of 5 when she plays dress-up and starts re-enacting scenes from her favorite TV and movie roles. It is at 15 that she is cast as the lead in her first play. That role won her an award for best performance and cemented her will to become an actress. Energetic and determined, Elisabetta started taking singing, dancing and acting classes throughout her high school years. 

 

Elisabetta has accumulated a number of impressive film and television roles. Her remarkable versatility as an actor allows her to play roles ranging from light comedy to gritty drama. Elisabetta is mostly known for her appearances on Spike TV's “Blue Mountain State” and A&E's “The Glades”. She has also performed in TV films such as NBC’s “Secret of the Mountain”, “Nicky Deuce" & "The Arrangement". Elisabetta has also made her way onto the big screen with the lead in a feature film called “My Name is Sandy” which had the honor of being screened at the Cannes Film Festival and the widely acclaimed “Havana 57” which describes pre-revolution Havana and was filmed entirely on site in Cuba. Elisabetta is soon to be seen in the highly anticipated Tim Burton's feature-film "Big Eyes".

While continuing to explore new artistic challenges, Elisabetta has always stayed grounded and she uses her professional success to bring awareness to important causes. She is passionate about charities and has volunteered her time and auctioned off her art to the support and benefit of many causes including the Farah aids foundation, the Nada breast cancer foundation, the Mira foundation as well as the Montreal’s Children's Foundation. Elisabetta has accomplished numerous artistic endeavors and has come a long way since those early days where she used to play dress-up. She has published her autobiography and released a chart topping hit single. Her acting career is on the rise with the constant buildup of new roles and her painting career is hotter than ever with the high demand for her artworks and with pieces in galleries and private collections across the world. One things for sure…we haven’t seen the last of Elisabetta Fantone!
